Welcome! Wominjeka!

Welcome to the Oakleigh Primary School and Kindergarten website.

Our school is built on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge and respect their enduring role as the first educators of these lands, sharing knowledge and educating future generations for thousands of years before our school was established.

Oakleigh Primary School has an excellent reputation as a vibrant, inclusive, multicultural school that provides a warm, nurturing and engaging environment where every child can learn, grow and thrive. We celebrate achievement, diversity and the unique strengths of each child.

Our values of Kindness, Respect, Connection, Responsibility and Growth guide all that we do, shaping both our teaching and learning, and wellbeing.

We set high expectations for every learner, with a strong focus on academic achievement and the development of individual talents across science, the arts, sport and other areas of the curriculum. A comprehensive wellbeing program ensures we respond to the needs of each child.

Our teaching and learning programs are informed by evidence-based approaches, including the Science of Learning. Specialist programs in Physical Education, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, STEM and Japanese are complemented by enrichment, intervention and instrumental music programs.

Our onsite kindergarten and school managed Before and After School Care Program provide valuable support and continuity for families.

We believe learning is a partnership between home and school. Our motto, ‘Together We Can Achieve’, reflects our commitment to working together to help every child reach their potential and reflective of how our caring staff collaborate.

We invite you to explore our website to discover more about Oakleigh Primary School. If you have any questions or would like to arrange a school tour, please contact us on 9568 0558.

We look forward to welcoming you.
